8.2 Backup

If it is necessary to enter a lot of data for a report, it may be sensible to backup the form data from time to time to make it possible, for example, to edit the backed-up data further at a later time. Such a data backup can be saved on the local client (local backup) or the central server (server-side backup).

After creating a server-side backup, the input form is displayed again with a success message. After clicking on Local backup, the dialog of your browser to download files appears:

Save backup on the local client

Any safety information displayed in the dialog is browser-typical. It is not generated by the web application. The file name is in the format [statistics short name]_YYYYMMDD_HHmmss.idev. To save the file, the instructions in the dialog must be followed.

Server-side backed-up form data is stored with date, time and reporting period. Form data can be saved as often as needed, so a list of backups will be created on the server from which the desired processing state can be selected.
